What is your newborn shoot style?
I want babies to look like babies! By that, I mean I don’t do the super wrapped up into a ball or contorted in un-natural position-pictures. I come into your home, photograph you all together as a family and let the baby be natural and organic. I want to capture their tiny hands, their peely skin and them just being babies. I shoot all natural lighting and a more life-style “style”.
When should I book my newborn session?
You can book it as soon as you’d like! The shoot will take place anytime between 5-10 days old, when they are still nice and sleepy. I have my clients let me know as soon as the baby is born so we can plan out a few days and give mama some time to settle in at home!
How long does the shoot last?
Up to about 2 hours. I allow lots of time for these shoots because I know babies get hungry, need diaper changes, or just have a hard time wanting to go to sleep (and that’s ok!). I never want new parents to feel stressed or rushed so we take our time! I also know new parents are exhausted and don’t want to spend all day doing a shoot. So I work as efficiently as the baby will allow!
