We had so much fun shooting Sally and Damon’s wedding at Roche Harbor, San Juan Island! They were married at De Haro Hotel and it was a smokey day during all those fires we had. I always love shooting on smoky days, it gives the air a pink hue that you can’t create in photoshop.
We dragged them to a mausoleum we knew about to take some photos and it was beautiful! Luckily we had access to golf carts so it made the trek easy. Their ceremony was so sweet. Her young son walked her down the aisle and their adult children were their bridal party. You could feel the love for this couple from the guests. They even sang altogether “All You Need is Love” during the ceremony.
They had their reception inside and gave the funniest speech about how they met. The whole rooms was caught between laughter and tears for quite some time. I love weddings where you can really tell everyone is coming together to celebrate these two people becoming husband and wife. It was such a joy to be a part of this wedding!
