Anyone who comes to visit us in Bellingham knows that I’m going to suggest we go get some Pure Bliss Desserts.. not just because our good friends own it, but because it is actually the best dessert I’ve ever had. I still remember the first time I ever had one of Andi’s cupcakes, long before the days of this beautiful store front, about 10 years ago. We were playing in our church softball game (which, for some reason, I was amazing at softball that day… and only that day, haha!). A box of cupcakes showed up and I ate one and immediately knew it was Andi’s. I knew because everyone told me how amazing her cupcakes were and this thing I just ate was the greatest thing I’ve ever eaten so it had to be hers. I was hooked from that moment on. Maybe that’s why I was suddenly so awesome at softball!
I tell every wedding client (whether they ask for a suggestion or not) that they should have Pure Bliss as their wedding cake, and most of the time they do! Her brownie was the first food I ate after my 4th baby was born and it was honestly the best thing someone could have handed me! I was giddy when my brother in law brought that box in 3 hours after having that sweet baby!
Other than making the best dessert ever, Andi is amazing. She’s one of the funniest, nicest, more encouraging people I know and she looks happy even when she’s mad! She and her husband Nick made this bakery from the ground up, Nick even handmade the tables! I was so excited to be a part of this awesome bakery opening and I’m still happy to get to enjoy it today! If you’re ever in Bellingham, you need to get some of Andi’s cake!
