As you know, Grayson and I went to Chicago recently and this is why. It was one HECTIC weekend. We shot a wedding in California Saturday night, got off around 9:30 and made a 1:15AM flight to Chicago to shoot this wedding the next day! But after all was said and done, it was well worth it. This is my dream wedding- homemade, backyard BBQ, ceremony is a simple, gorgeous park and an awesome couple with a great vintage style. We almost couldn’t contain ourselves, I felt like I was going to hyperventilate after every photo, haha. Jen and Jeff were one of the most awesome couples we’ve worked with. They’ve been together for years upon years, since high school I believe.  I don’t know all the details, but Jeff was diagnosed with cancer and recently dealt with that, but he’s doing much better. They had a fundraiser called “Team Jeff” a couple months back. On top of that, they also run a small wedding detail design business called Eventcetera. Well here are some photos, I had to break it into 2 posts because there were so many awesome elements to their day,  I just couldn’t decide.

P.S: If you ever go to Chicago, avoid getting lost on the toll roads, it costs a lot to get lost!

Hi! I’m from Australia and work in the wedding business which was how I found some of these beautiful pics in Bride To Be. This is EXACTLY the sort of wedding I have always wanted if I’m even lucky enough to meet someone I want to marry. So beautiful and such gorgeous photos – only one or two of them were reproduced in the mag. really glad I came looking. Thanks so much. P.S. – Hope Jeff is doing better x

What a darling, creative couple and wedding, perfectly captured in your photographs! You perfectly captured the essence of Illinois {I’m a native, transplated to NYC} and the quiet beauty of heartfelt love. I love your portfolio, and your playlist. Care to share the name of the artist?

Plus it’s in the Midwest next to a cornfield which is just like our wedding will be!! Yes to that!

Heather and Grayson. We really cannot say enough about you and your photography. The photos are everything we’d hoped they would be and more. I get such a kick out of all the pictures you got with Kitty. I could probably go on forever about everything I loved about the photos but I’d rather say more about how truly wonderful it was to spend our day with you. It was so easy to feel comfortable around you which really let us feel like we could be ourselves in the pictures. If you ever need a place to crash next time you roll through Morris (or Chicago) please hit us up. We’d love to hang out without the cameras sometime. Thanks again so so much.

This couple is very inventive and beautiful. My heart smiled to see them riding away on their bikes. Was that a plug for jaggerphotog?? Gray and Heather, you rock my world and give me some inspiration during my work day.
