We arrived at Carrie + Pat’s wedding thinking that we had seen it all.  As you will soon see, we were clearly mistaken.  We strolled into Nature Bridge and quickly were confused.  There were kids decorating hula hoops, flying kites, playing lawn games and splashing in the lake.  We checked the address and saw that we were in the right place, but thought that maybe they had a kid’s summer camp or something that they were finishing up before the wedding.  We asked one of the people working there where the wedding was going to take place and to our amazement said, “this is the wedding!”  We took a second look and said, “Uhh, this is AWESOME!”

I kept telling Carrie and Pat that this was one of the craziest weddings that we have seen.  His response was that if they couldn’t do it this way that they weren’t going to do it at all.  They had a vision for their wedding and this was it.  It was all about getting family and friends together and having a blast.  They asked everyone to come in costume, whatever they wanted and it was like a giant, hippie carnival of awesomeness! We really like these people!

They had a couple of mattresses set up for people to lounge on

Ok, so for their ceremony Pat arranged this whole thing that everyone would be holding a hula hoop or a random letter on a stick and create a zig-zag moving isle for them to walk down.. We were totally confused but just tried to figure it out as we went along!31 32 33 34
