We flew back down to sunny CA to shoot this awesome couple we booked a while back. Cooper and Michelle…. are awesome. We met them at their house in Costa Mesa and just explored around some of their favorite spots to ride bikes and hang out. We always love seeing where couple like to be when it’s just them, shooting people in their own favorite places is always awesome, and it gives the pictures some good meaning! Cooper spent all night polishing up their bikes (adorable) and we headed out after meeting their scruffy Mcdoggy dog… a name I gave him in my head. At the end of the night we did some shots at the place Cooper proposed to Michelle, we spent a good while watching Cooper attempt to fly a wooden plane they’d been unsucessful with in the past. But there was sucess this time!
Anyway, the shoot was awesome, the company was awesome… here it is and enjoy! You’ll see them again later when we shoot their wedding in September!
just before an army of tiny bugs attacked them… attack of the lawn bugs
This is an old ski lift Cooper has been restoring- pretty stinkin awesome.
some crazy rich guys house
scruffy McDoggy Dog… real name- don’t remember.
I’m adding this little gem in for Cooper. Just as we said we were finished shooting he busted this out.. that’s right, the head stand.
I love this photo…
this is one of my favorites too
and of course this one… so cute.
So here is the rest of the awesome engagement shoot with Zach and Sara, sorry it’s taken so long! Again.. moved to WA. But like I said before, this shoot was so fun! They are such a cute couple, couldn’t keep from kissing all the time and being adorable. Plus, I love yellow so when we planned for the yellow dress I was pumped! It’s such a good color and it pops so well! Here it is!
yes, this was on purpose
they crack me up.
who can resist a good ol cotton candy stache?
Ok, now everyone who knows us knows we try to avoid shooting the beach, everyone does it and we like to have more unique photos! But they insisted on it, so I compromised with shooting under this awesome, old pier.. they were great!
ok now all 4 of us knew how cheesy this next act was, but I guess no one can resit the urge. Haha
We got a call about 2 weeks ago from Patrick, asking us to shoot their wedding! Last minute? Yes! Awesome? Yes! We met up with these two (an Australian and a Texan) and they were amazing! We cracked up at random ideas for their day. They’re getting married in the Laguna Hills court house and again next year in Texas and again in Australia!!! Wow, 3 weddings! We got there and I have to say, shooting this wedding was unlike any experience we’ve ever had. There were no wedding dresses, no brides maids or cake.. just good old fashioned marriage! We got to sign their wedding license as their only witnesses. It was just us, them and a judge in a tiny room and we got to be the only people to watch these two get married. It was amazing. I keep joking with Grayson that he teared up.
After their ceremony we stopped by their house to look at clothes, meet their amazing dog Tbone (for “Tiny bones”) and their worlds thickest cat! We grabbed Tbone, some balloons they bought and headed out! It was such a great day, honestly! Driving around in their back seat with balloons hitting us in the face and little Tbone being super excited (with good reason!). We went to some random places, stopped off on the side of the road for some shots, the Sawdust Festival grounds, and some other neat spots.
So, without further adieu… their day!
And of course we were in love with Tbone.. Grayson jumped at any change to carry him.
So I showed you a few photos from this shoot, partly because I couldn’t stand the wait for these photos! I had the hardest time deciding which ones to use because they looked so awesome in all of them. Tasha and Maurice let us do whatever we want, and we love it! We drove them out to the middle of no where, it was dirty, dry… they were wearing all white! And it was well worth it my friend! I have to say, I love these photos, I just do! Ok well here they are, take a gander!
And my favorite shot of the day, I can thank the wind for. They were just hanging out here, Tasha was looking her best and all the sudden BAM, dress in the face. I couldn’t stop laughing. Maurice replied with “You ruined my very best ‘far off stare!’”! haha.. kills me.
Grayson and I had the pleasure of shooting Ebony and Tom on their wedding day! I have to say, when we pulled up early to Cornerstone Church where they were getting married, we were a bit worried. We looked and looked for spots to shoot but didn’t find much to work with. Then we drove behind the church and found a ranch style home with horses, jackpot! It all worked out, and it was a good time! They only hired us to shoot them and a bit of the bridal party and ceremony, so it was a short day! But we had enough time to get some shots of Ebony getting ready and I’m so glad we did!
I just love these next 2 shots, veils and wind are the best.
